Terms
What you can expect, and what is expected of you.
These terms cover the aiflower Android app and the service behind it, run by Ez-Web, Lda (Portugal). Using either means agreeing to them. If you do not, don't use it — and delete your account if you already have one.
What aiflower is
A private herbarium: you photograph plants you own, an AI names them and drafts what they need, and the app keeps the record. It is free, there is nothing to buy, and there is no advertising.
It is not a botanist, and it is not a doctor. The AI identifies plants from photographs and it is sometimes wrong — that is why every determination it makes is kept and labelled rather than overwritten. Never eat, brew, apply or medicate with a plant on the strength of what this app called it. Some plants are toxic to people and to pets, some have edible relatives that are not, and a photograph is not enough to tell them apart. If it matters, ask somebody qualified.
Your account
- You need an email address and a password. The email is not verified, so it must be one you actually control — nobody can help you prove it later.
- Keep the password to yourself. Anything done with your account is treated as done by you.
- One person, one account. Don't sign up on somebody else's behalf without their say-so.
- You must be 13 or older.
Your photographs stay yours
You keep every right you have in what you upload. You grant only the permission the service needs to work: to store your photographs and notes, to show them back to you, and to send a photograph and that plant's records to the AI when you ask for an identification, a diagnosis, a seasonal review or an answer. Nothing is used to train any model, published, or shown to anybody else.
Upload only photographs you have the right to upload. Don't use the service for anything unlawful, and don't upload other people's private images.
Fair use of the AI
Every identification, diagnosis and review spawns a real AI call that costs real money, on a personal subscription. Use it as a person with plants would. Automated or bulk use — scripting the API, hammering the endpoints, reselling access — is not on, and an account doing it may be rate-limited or closed.
Availability
This is one server run as a personal project. It is provided as is, with no guarantee of uptime, of the accuracy of anything the AI says, or of the service continuing to exist. It is backed up nightly, and even so: if a plant's history matters to you, keep your own copy of the photographs that matter.
Features may change or be withdrawn. If the service is going to shut down, notice will be given in the app with enough time to get your photographs out.
Ending it
You can leave whenever you like: delete your account, and everything in it goes with it, immediately and irreversibly.
An account may be suspended or removed if it is used to break these terms or the law. Where that is not urgent, you will be told why first.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Ez-Web, Lda is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost data, or for a plant that came to harm following the app's advice. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected by anything on this page.
The rest
These terms are governed by Portuguese law, and the courts of Portugal have jurisdiction — except that as a consumer you keep the right to bring a claim in the courts of the country you live in. If a clause turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. If the terms change, the date at the top changes; continuing to use the app after that is how you accept them.
